Shopify Payout Missing From Bank Account: A Practical Checklist
A payout can be released, pending, delayed, routed to another account or bundled differently. Confirm the provider status and banking route before classifying it as missing.

1. Identify the payout before searching the bank
Record the provider payout ID, status, release date, amount, currency and destination account. A monthly sales total is not a useful search key: start with the one payout that should have reached the bank.
2. Compare the settlement date with the bank value date
Keep the provider release date, expected arrival window and bank posting date on separate lines. Check the intended bank account and currency first, then search the bank around the expected window rather than only on the release date.
3. Turn an unresolved item into a bounded exception
If no matching deposit is found, log the payout ID, evidence checked, amount, owner and next action. Do not post an unsupported adjustment or describe cash as lost until the payment-provider and banking evidence has been reviewed.

- Search the correct bank account across a sensible arrival window, not only one calendar day.
- Check whether a different currency, destination or hold explains the apparent absence.
